MindsEye Designs is a vocational program in the creative arts for adults with developmental disabilities in the context of day program services. The primary focus is to encourage and explore creativity, acquire new skills, and to support people in their quest to become working artists.
Artists develop skills in various mediums such as drawing, painting, handcrafts, movement and dance. Participants work together to learn from, support and inspire one another while creating unique one-of-a-kind art. The program is further enriched by trips to museums, galleries, artists’ studios and the performing arts. These experiences and skillsets can be applied to building vocational skills for work outside the studio.
We are committed to increasing public interest in the artistic capabilities and achievements of people with disabilities.
